The last class of the day was over, and ______ jumped out of her seat, shoving past the other students in the halls of Hetalia High.  She ran up the narrow spiraling stairs that lead to the abandoned tower, which was said to be haunted by the ghosts of executed prisoners.  That was one of the reasons the Magic Club had picked that place as their hang out.  ______, burst open the door with a loud BANG, causing the trio to jump in unison.  The floating books and papers dropped to the floor, and the magical creatures hid behind whatever they could find.
“Bloody hell, ______! You scared us all half to death!” Arthur exclaimed, after he’d picked up his fallen wand.  _______ mumbled an apology before quietly shutting the door again and walking to the large table that was piled with spell book and drawings.
“What’s the hurry?” Lukas asked in his usually blunt tone, his eyes glassy with boredom.  ______ beamed at her best friends with a murderous glint in her (e/c) eyes.
“You know what tomorrow is don’t you?” She asked, excitedly.  Vlad, who was currently drinking cranberry juice out of what looked like a blood bag, rested his head on one of his hands and looked at her curiously.
“It’s Friday.” He said simply, and ______ rolled her eyes.
“No, smartass.  It’s Halloween!” She corrected, but everyone didn’t seem to be excited by the news at all.
“You better not be asking us to attend one of Alfred’s stupid parties again, love.” Arthur grumbled.  ______ shook her head, she knew that Al’s Halloween parties were pretty lame.
“Alfred’s not throwing the party this year.” She said, getting everyone’s attention.
“Then who is?” Vlad asked.  ______ pulled out a poster that read  Halloween Party at Hetalia High: Hosted this year by the Magic Club.  She smirked deviously.
“We are.” Her friends grinned, each one of them already coming up with different ways to prank their classmates.
“We have the whole school to ourselves tomorrow night and I’ve already got a plan.” ______ said, smugly.  Arthur’s green eyes burned with interest.  Vlad licked his lips anticipating absolute horror.  Even Lukas’ usual dead expression had become alive with excitement.
“So here’s what we do....”

Time Skip (Halloween Night)...

The huge dark colored doors looked a lot scarier at night than during the school day.  Even the two stone lions looked more alive than that morning.  Standing outside was Alfred, Gilbert, Mathias, Francis, Antonio, and a bunch of other students since they were the only ones who dared to deny the Magic Club’s true scaring potential.  A streak of lightning filled the sky and a huge booming of thunder almost deafened their hearing.
“Dudes, I don’t think this was such a good idea.” Alfred said to the others, already nervous.
“Already chickening out, mon ami?” Francis teased, and Alfred laughed loudly, though obviously scared.
“Are you kidding? I’m the hero! I don’t get scared!” He said.

Meanwhile...

“Guys, there at the front door.” ______ said as she looked out the window.  She turned around and saw her three friends standing in front.  Arthur wore a pirate costume that fit snuggly on his body, his hat laid tilted on his head, so only one of his eyes could be seen.  Vlad wore a black cloak over his blood stained victorian costume.  A vampire nonetheless.  And Lukas wore a dark purple velvet cloak that helped him blend into the shadows, he was a warlock.  _______ had decided to be the queen of hearts.  She put on dark makeup to match her red and black dress, only going up to her knees.  The belt was made up of cards, and the bodice was shaped like a heart.  ______, put on black fingerless gloves to top it off.  The Magic Club was ready to scar their guests for life.

Back to the victims...

Mathias walked up to the door and knocked three time.  Another sudden boom of thunder caused him to jump backwards, as the door, by itself, slowly creaked open.  The students cautiously walked in, to be met with a brightly candlelit entrance room.  The floors were covered in dark red carpets and a grand piano lay open in the corner of the room.  The shadows danced on the walls like drunk ghosts, and soft random noises came from every inch of the building.
“Okay, zat vas all I needed to see.  I’m leaving zis unawesome place.” Gilbert said nervously and turned to the door.  It slammed shut before he could even walk towards it.  He gave a yelp and hid behind Toni.  The room was empty other than the students who stood there.
“I don’t think there’s anyone else here.” Toni observed, and then it was quiet for a second, when:
“Welcome.” A calm voice said, causing ______’s classmates to jump.  They looked in front of them and standing at the top of the ballroom staircase was the Magic Club (who had definitely not been there before).  ______ stood in the middle, a mischievous glint in her eye caused the boys of the group to shiver slightly.  Lukas and Vlad stood on either side of her, while Arthur casually leaned on the railing, polishing his sword.
“We’ve been expecting you.” _______ tried to stay in character, as the men’s mouths dropped open.  She tried not to laugh.
“Y-yeah, well we, uh, w-we came for the party.” Alfred attempted to speak up for the group, but failed miserably.  ______ gave an entertained chuckle, loud and playful.
“Well you came to the right place.  We’ve decided to start off with a game, though.” She pulled out a joker card from her belt and put it to her lips, whispering a small incantation that was barely audible.  The students relaxed a bit at the thought of a game.
“What kind of game?” Toni asked, suspiciously.  ______ shrugged, her smirk turning more murderous.
“A simple game of hide and seek.  There are no boundries, though I doubt you’ll be able to escape the building.  All of you shall hide, and our demons will hunt you down.” The color of the guests’ faces drained at the “demons” part.  ______ turned to her friends.
“Did I leave anything out, boys?” She asked, her blood red lips curled showing her pearly white teeth.  Lukas walked up to her and whispered in her ear quietly.
“Oh, of course! How could I forget the rules?” She chuckled softy, she raised her hand with the card in it and dropped it.  It fell slowly like a feather, and ______ quickly smirked at the audience.
“Don’t die.” She warned playfully, just when the card hit the ground and a cloud of smoke engulfed the Magic Group.  The candles were all blown out by the a gust of wind, and when the air cleared up, they were gone.  Everyone looked around, afraid and confused.  A crash came from somewhere down the halls and monstrous growls and laughs filled the air and echoed through the halls.
“You better hide because we’ve got all night to try and find you.  You’ve got a count down from twenty” _____’s voice teased, though she was nowhere to be seen.  Half the people screamed like little girls and they all ran in separate directions.

Meanwhile (in the main office)...

“Seventeen, sixteen, fifteen, fourteen.” _____ counted down in the intercom.  Her three best friends smirked as they sat in the chairs and watched her finish up the countdown.
“Nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one.” _____ finished the countdown and paused.  She pressed play on the tape recorder and brought it close to the intercom.  It was a recording of Lukas making low moans to substitute for ghost, Vlad causing loud thumps and crashes, and Arthur cackling like a madman.  The group smiled at each other.  The night was going exactly how they planned.

Back to the freaked out group of students...

Mathias, Gilbert, Francis, Antonio, and Alfred had all strayed from the other group of students.  Rain pounded outside the glass windows, as they walked silently through the deserted halls.  Everything was dark except for the minimum amount of light that came from the constant lightning.
“Dude, I so told you this was a bad idea!” Alfred said in a not-so-quiet voice.  A number of SHHH’s came after that.
“Quiet, stupid american.  We will be ‘eard by ze monsters.” Francis hissed, as they kept walking.  Mathias spotted the nurse’s office and tried the door.  It was open.
“Guys, in here.” He said quietly and they followed him into the dark room.  They looked around.  All was silent other than the ticking of the coo-coo clock and the icy rain on the glass.  Antonio sighed.
“I think we’re safe in here.” He said.  Suddenly the coo-coo bird popped out and made the loudest crowing noise causing everyone to scream.
“Shut that thing up!” Mathias yelled.  Alfred grabbed the clock from the wall and threw to the floor.  It was in pieces.  The group cursed under their breath as they heard loud footsteps in the hallway.
“Everyone hide!” Gilbert hissed and they obeyed, hiding behind desks and inside closets/cupboards.  The footsteps got louder and louder.  A shadow from the dim light appeared on the floor, very close to the desk that Alfred was under.  His breath hitched when he saw that it was the shadow of a wolf, the size of a bear.  He shook and turned to Francis who was only a desk or two away from him.  He mouthed the word “Werewolf”, when a loud howling sound was heard outside the nurse’s office.  A deep scratching noise came from beyond the door.  Gilbert made a soft yelping sound, which caused the rest of the group to throw death glares his way.  But the shadow simply disappeared as the footsteps got softer and softer.  They waited for a couple seconds before Francis took a chance and stood up.
“I zhink the beast is gone.” He breathed.  The rest of them got up and walked to the door.  The halls were empty.
“Okay, on the count of three we ditch this room and run to the main office.  There’s a phone there, so maybe we can call our way out of this game.” Mathias suggested and the rest of the group agreed.

Time Skip (a few minutes later)...

“Oh, Lukas, back already?” Arthur said, as he cheerfully sipped his tea.
“They’re heading this way.” Lukas informed bluntly and ______ looked up at the security screen.  Alfred, Mathias, Antonio, Francis, and Gilbert were indeed heading towards the main office.  She shook her head and smiled.
“Well we can’t have that, now can we.  What happened to the werewolf?” ______ asked.  Lukas pointed outside the window.  A black dog the size of a bear was chasing around a bunny rabbit around the schoolyard.
“Ugh, useless.” She muttered and pulled out her wand.  ______ slid open the window and waved the stick once before pointing it at the ferocious dog.  It disappeared with one last whimper.  She closed the window and turned to Vlad.
“It’s your turn, then.” ______ said cheerfully.  She was thoroughly enjoying this.  Vlad bowed once and looked up at her with a smile that showed his pointed vampire teeth, his eyes bright red with excitement.
“It would be my pleasure.” He said in a smooth, teasing voice.

Meanwhile...

“Dude, I really gotta pee.” Alfred whined for the seventh time.  Antonio rolled his eyes and Mathias sighed.
“Fine, just hurry up will you?” They walked to the boys bathroom and waited outside.  Suddenly a black figure ran by them in a blurry flash.  The boys stiffened and looked around, fists balled.
“Kay, I’m good now, dudes we can-!” Alfred was shut up my Gilbert slapping his hand over the American’s mouth.
“Shut up vill you.  Someone else is here.” The german hissed quietly.  And then again the black flash went past like a fast moving shadow.
“Oh my fucking god, dude! What was that?” Alfred whispered in a scared manner.  No one answered, they didn’t even have an answer.  A low amused laughed echoed through the hallway and the black blur again ran by, but this time opened all the lockers as it moved.  The metal doors crashed into each other making a loud banging noise.
“Run!” Antonio yelled, and the boys ran as fast as they could towards the main office.  The were only a turn away when Vlad dropped from the ceiling, landing perfectly on his feet right in front of them.  He’s changed though.  His skin was so pale it was almost like snow, his eyes glowed red with a miniature pupil mixed in, and his teeth had grown sharper and more intimidating.  The boys froze at the sight of him, silence fell, and then:
“Boo.” Was all he need to say to chase the group in the other direction.  They screamed and hollered help, when ghosts infested the hallway.  It was hard to see as they just ran through the lost souls.  They ran into the library and hid there for awhile until they spotted zombies in school uniforms slowly chase after them.

Back in the middle school office...

Lukas, Vlad, and ______ laughed as they watched all of this take place from the security cameras.   The zombies and ghosts were all special touches from Arthur.
“Who knew Arty could be so talented in summoning the dead?” _____ wondered after she’d calmed down the laughing spasms.
“He’s been doing it for awhile now.  It’s his specialty.” Lukas joked.
“Hey, has anyone else been wondering what happened to the other students?” Vlad asked, and the three of them fell silent.  ______ stood up and pulled out her wand again.
“I guess I should open the doors, they’ve had enough of a scare tonight.” She said and the front door to the school swung open.  The mob of students that had entered were now screaming and running mad in all different directions outside, causing the trio in the office to start up their laughing fit again.  The last five people to run out were none other than Francis, Alfred, Gilbert, Antonio, and Mathias.  A few seconds later Arthur calmly opened the office door with a pleased smiled on his face.
“Had fun?” ______ asked, and Arthur nodded.
“That was splendid!” He exclaimed making her giggle.
“Best idea ever!” Vlad added.
“We should do it again next year.” Lukas added emotionlessly, but anyone could tell that he was internally happy.  The Magic Club stood up and went into a big group hug.
“You guys are the best, you know that?” ______ said happily.
“Of course we are.” They said in unison making her laugh again.
“Happy Halloween, boys.” _______ whispered.  It was their turn to have a scare now....
